Magazines are out, servers are in. But no one really sees these servers or really thinks about the materials needed to make and maintain them.
I wonder what servers will be made out of in the future, when we run out of precious metals, or when newer technologies become cheaper to extract, create, and maintain.
A friend of mine suffered an injury and is no longer receptive to certain tastes on half of her tongue. We too, then, are networks, machines of a sort.
I suppose using youtube for research yields the same concerns as using wikipedia for research. But, I would have the same reservations for any resource no matter how reputable it may be.
Disinformation is just as prevalent as information on the web, even from reputable sources. It's all in who you choose to believe.
